Exhibition Rules : Allen-Tarleton Memorial Photography Contest 2009



EXHIBIT: November 7- 27, 2009 at Kea`au Fine Art Center



SUBMISSION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 27, 2009 to Steve Godzsak, 871 Hele
Mauna St, Hilo, HI 96720



OPENING NIGHT: Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 6:00 pm-9:00 pm Keaau
Fine Art Center (formerly: Island Giclee), Shipman Industrial Park, Keaau,
HI 96749.



ELIGIBILITY: Top 50 non-slide-show/movie entries accepted into the
2009 Allen-Tarleton Memorial Contest is eligible. Eligible entries are
determined by the cumulative point total given to the accepted entry by the
judges regardless of category. If there are ties that will cause more entries
to be eligible than could be accommodated by the gallery, then the "Top 50" will
be determined by the judges.


  • Host club must package and mail all entries for its members and enclose a check payable to CCCH in the same amount as the postage used to send package. It is recommended that no glass be used as the last Hilo Exhibit resulted in a number of exhibits arriving with broken glass.


  • Other accepted entries may be eligible on a space-available basis.




ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:


  1. The exhibited entries need not be the print
    version of the jpeg images. i.e. higher resolution tiff images of the entries
    may be used to print the exhibited entry. All exhibited entries shall be
    mounted with a frame size no larger than 36" x 36" and be wired ready to hang.
    No saw-tooth hangers.



  2. Each exhibited entry must have a label in the back of the exhibit stating
    Title, Entrant's name, Club and Price or NFS. Each club will be provided a
    Microsoft Word template upon which, all of their entrants' names, titles, club
    names and prices shall be entered in the following format (The A-T committee
    will assign and enter the appropriate exhibit number)





COMMISSION: All exhibited entries that are sold will have the
following deducted prior to payment to exhibitor: 10% of gross sales price
to Camera Club Council of Hawaii and 25% to Gallery.



DONATION REQUESTED: Any monetary donation towards the purchase of
food and drink at opening night is requested. Such monetary donation shall be
made payable to Camera Club Council of Hawaii.



RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Every exhibitor releases Keaau Fine Art Center
fka Island Giclee, its owners, agents and employees; Camera Club Council of
Hawaii ("CCCH"), its members and officers; the Hilo Photography Club, its
members and officers; Hawaii Photographic Society, its members and officers;
Maui Camera Club, its members and officers, and the Allen-Tarleton committee
members and volunteers from all liability from any damages whatsoever. Such
release of liability includes, but is not limited to, unauthorized publication
of the image, unauthorized use by a third person who may have downloaded such
image from the CCCH website, damage or destruction of the image, and any other
possible injury to the entrant's body, image or reputation. SUBMISSION OF ENTRY
FOR EXHIBITION IMPLIES ACCEPTANCE OF THE ABOVE RELEASE OF LIABILITY.
